¿Toxic waste illegally stored coming from abroad? ¿True or false? As you can guess, it’s true.

This environmental scandal inspired this original design which aims to create awareness about this hidden reality: Nerva’s waste dump, in Huelva (Spain). Since its inauguration in 1998, fires, sanctions, orders of closure and illegal traffic of toxic waste have taken place.

Even if in 2014 Nerva’s city hall ordered the immediate interruption of hazardous and non-hazardous waste’s admission, Andalusia’s Government announced in April 2016 that “Nerva’s dump site will keep running for a few years”.

In 2016, Greenpeace proved how waste was not being treated as required. Because of the emission of toxic and fetid clouds as well as numerous fires that have taken place, this dump site puts at risk the surrounding populations’ health as well as the environment.

For the immediate interruption of Nerva’s waste dump.
